Meet Gene Raffel
“I grew up in Long Island NY with a LOVE for music. My favorite toy as a kid just so happened to be a record player! As a teenager, I bought some DJ equipment with my brother and we began to do house parties - sparking my interest and love for DJ-ing.
Years later, when my son Brandon came along, my wife and I set up shop in NC and I began working for another DJ company. With much success at those parties, clients were suggesting that I start my own business and branch out on my own! After many years acquiring DJ equipment and gaining experience, DJ Gene Productions was established.
Over time as this business grew, so did the hopes that my son Brandon would inherit my joy of music entertainment. At his 13th birthday party those dreams came to fruition when Brandon decided he wanted to DJ his own party (!) Watching his skills develop as we have worked together all of these years has made owning DJ Gene Productions even more rewarding. We continue to work together at many events striving to be the best duo we can be.
Meet Brandon Raffel
Developing an ear for music was very easy for me growing up with my dad. His love for music was evident, and I had the best role model for becoming a DJ/MC myself! It did take trial by fire and some convincing to get me on board (teenagers ya know). Once I came around, I was able to see the effect that music and our personality had on our events! I fell in love with that feeling of taking an event to the next level, and strive to replicate that in every celebration for our clients.

The right track can allow someone to let the hair down and have them dwell in nostalgia. The right track can alleviate the burdens and encourage them to move. The right tone and words can do the same. We help move people to that place. The choice - even the order - of songs, of words, can encourage a crowd to enjoy the moment and soak in the details that could just as easily be missed.
